It gives you fantastic things such as weapons or Margwa tentacles. If you let it grow for some rounds, it turns to red, where it gives you good things (from bad powerups to cool weapons). The first stage or color of a pod is green, and it is going to give you crap if you open it at this color. Depending on the color, pods can give you shitty things, good things and awesome things. Once you get a fumigator, you can open pods. To harvest them, you need a fumigator, which can be found in many places around the map (don't worry there are at least more than 10).
